PART I – History and Politics

What is the People’s Republic of Minmatar?

The People’s Republic of Minmatar (PRM) is a pro-Minmatar alliance of corporations and tribes that have joined together to gain the advantages of mutual cooperation and to advance the cause of all Minmatar everywhere, whether members of the PRM or not.

Why did the PRM secede from the Minmatar Republic?

The PRM seceded from the Minmatar Republic because of its weak leadership and the growing prevalence of political compromise and complacency in the government. Prime examples of this weakness were the failure of the government to further the cause of liberating the billions of Minmatar held in slavery, to support those willing to further this cause or to provide the basic infrastructure required by liberated slaves in order to rehabilitate them in to society in such a way that they might be self sufficient with a reasonable quality of life.

How is the PRM different from the Minmatar Republic?

The PRM is different in that its prime goal is the advancement of the Minmatar people. The PRM maintains many of the old tribal values, but also recognises the importance of cooperation rather than tribal factionalism. By working together as a singular entity the PRM is able to speak and act as one in the advancement of the Minmatar cause. In the case of the fight against slavery, the PRM is willing to oppose slavery, to support and cooperate with others who oppose it and to provide an infrastructure for the rehabilitation of former slaves.

What does the PRM stand for?

The PRM is pro-Minmatar.

This means that the PRM works for the betterment of all Minmatar, whether by freeing them from bondage as slaves, improving the economy in Minmatar space or clearing Minmatar space of pirates and other hazards to space-farers. The PRM seeks equality, justice and freedom for all Minmatar.

What is the PRM stance on Slavery and Slavers?

Slavery is abhorrent to the PRM, as it is to all right-thinking peoples. The PRM will oppose slavery wherever it is found. Whilst the PRM itself is not a military organisation, any members who wish to pursue Concord sanctioned military opposition to slavery, do so with the full backing of the PRM.

Slavery is illegal within PRM space. Any persons found to be conducting or supporting acts of slavery will be subject to immediate destruction and exclusion from PRM space.

What is the PRM stance on Piracy and Pirates?

Piracy is abhorrent to the PRM, as it is to all right-thinking peoples. The PRM will oppose piracy wherever it is found.

Piracy is illegal within PRM space. Any persons found to be conducting or supporting acts of piracy will be subject to immediate destruction and exclusion from PRM space.

What is the PRM’s diplomatic relationship with the other empires and major factions?

Currently PRM holds a neutral stance to all generally recognised sovereign powers, with the exception of those that support slavery or piracy. Those that support such abhorrent practices are considered rogue states and the PRM will maintain no formal diplomatic ties with them until they are willing to publicly recant and make reparations.

The PRM was not recognised by the Jove in their recent update of recognised sovereign states. What is the PRM’s stance on this?

The PRM regrets the Jove decision not to recognise it, particularly in light of the efforts made by the PRM and its allies to facilitate the ‘resurrection’ of the Jovian Ambassador. The PRM respects the Jovians’ rights to form their own opinions and hopes that they will in future be more open minded. This in no way affects the PRM’s diplomatic stance toward the Jovians who are regarded in the same way as other respectable sovereign powers.
