Escalations

Started on a couple of escalations. One last night, and one this afternoon, Chasing the Dragon, and The Big Blue respectively. The former consisted of a several fairly mundane steps that seemingly had me jumping back and forth a lot in Metropolis. The latter was more interesting, as the first stage proved to be a lot more enjoyable, and yielded a low-grade Halo implant. I’ll definitely be following up on this one later this evening!

Enemy analysis report indicates that you are close to a drug distributor conditioning unit, where Angels are known to bring kidnapped persons from neighboring systems, make them addicted to various drugs, brainwash and train them as drug dealers, before sending them back to their home. Your best chance to beat these pirates is to get to the remaining ships before they reach their destination.

Scanning through Pat Wead’s logs reveals that this druglord was surprisingly well connected, long lists of buyers and sellers throughout the neighboring regions would make this document a dream read of any law enforcement agent in the galaxy, if only all the vital parts were not in some completely alien code. No matter how much you let your central computer chew on this stuff, you get no feedback on any names or places, except perhaps one… this seems to be a hasty entry from almost a year back, not in code. At least the coordinates do reflect a true point in space.

Ohhh, grats on the Halo implant. I think I am still plugged in with a set of LP +3 implants I got a while back when working for the Amarr Navy.
